Central Tours

Station Tour Booking System

Project Description

Glasgow Central Tours part of the Network Rail group, came to us to fix a major issue they had on their new website. After getting it created by another design agency the product the client was left with was basically not fit for purpose, it was slow and un-responsive and not taking the correct number of tour bookings per time slot. glasgow-central-tours-web-design7The client wanted to take tour bookings online via the website and basically everything was just not working, with their users sitting looking at blank white screens when trying to view the website.

This was costing them more money in lost tour ticket sales and they had enough of trying to fix their broken website. This is were we came in, after talking to them about all the problems they had on their existing website and us checking it out, we had to tell them to bite the bullet and bin it as there was so much wrong with it to try and fix all the problem coding on it.

We started work on a completely new logo and website which was in the brand style and colours they longed for, and with our custom coded wordpress and woocommerce we have the website back online and running as it should have been. The online calendar is fast viewing months ahead and letting people book their tickets smoothly. The client was so happy to have a fully working system that took care of everything they wanted including adding on gift vouchers which tied in seamless with the barcode ticket system we have created for them.

Since completing the website in a short time for the client, as daily they were losing bookings, it was all hands on deck to ensure the new site hit the ground running 100%. After the first month of our new online booking website in place, ticket sales were up over 4200% on their old website. We have now completed various graphic design branding work for this client including posters, banners and flyers all in the same new company branding to help promote their business over the coming months. tours_ipad_website_view

Moving forward we are excited to be adding future developments to the system we created. These being ipad scanning feature for tour tickets to check people in, mobile app version of the booking system is in the pipeline at the moment too that will see this great Glasgow company expand.
